I never went to art school. I graduated with a BA and Major in Criminology. I grew up loving the outdoors and one summer where I wasn't able to hike or trail run as much, I decided to pick up the paint brush and canvas. What started out as a hobby, has me exploring the mountains further to bring new colour and canvas to life.

My main medium is acrylic on canvas but I have also worked with oil pastel. I find that the versatility of painting with acrylics allows me to express the changing seasons and the connection I feel to the wild. Mountain lines really captivate me. They hold both a sense of powerful and calming energy.

Paint what you love. Love where you hike. The mountains give me a sense of feeling grounded. They have this way of reminding me of the things that are important in life. If I can capture all of that in a painting, it's as though I've taken people there only by what I see through a lens. My artwork grasps the wonder and wild I feel when I am in our mountains.
